We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.

CLEVELAND — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from L Russell who nominated their teacher, Ms. Pfeiffer, who has helped her get through a challenging year.

Hero's job: Piano teacher

Reason for recognition: I took piano lessons from a wonderful warm blind woman. Seeing eye dog blind. She introduced me to music with a quiet passion that was contageous. Along with piano I learned about blindness and her courage.

One thing to know: Ms. Pfeiffer carried dignity, humor and wisdom. A handicap was not the beginning and end her.

Thank you for all you do, Dan Weaver!
