  1. A police chase ended with a 17-year-old driver crashing into a home in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood yesterday. A woman and her infant child were in the house but were not injured. Police received a call from the American Red Cross reporting a suspicious vehicle in the organization's parking lot. When police arrived and began speaking to driver Daniel Ciryak, he immediately fled the scene, leading to the eventual accident. Ciryak fled on foot, but police were able to arrest him and later discovered the vehicle was stolen. (Cleveland 19 News)

Officer Joshua Smith filed a lawsuit against the county and sheriff's department in Cleveland federal court. According to authorities, Smith was forced to remove his pants and underwear during a search without being told why an invasive search needed to be conducted. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
