Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:
- Cleveland police are trying to identify a man who robbed the Family Dollar on Puritas Avenue on Feb. 5. Around 4:30 p.m. last Friday, the man in question was caught stealing energy drinks on the surveillance camera and the spit in an employee's face before taking off. A photo of the suspect, who goes by "Bird" in the area, is available at the link. If anyone recognizes this man and knows his whereabouts, please contact the police. (Cleveland 19 News)
- A woman reported being the victim of an attempted robbery on Feb. 2. The woman said she was walking south on West 6th Street when a man attempted to steal her purse around 2:45 p.m. Photos are available at the link of the incident. - The victim of a Jan. 26 hit-and-run is speaking out while police continue to search for the suspect. Jay Carlton was riding his bike on Warren Road around 10:00 p.m. when he was hit from behind and the driver drove away. Carlton said, "I imagine from my experience, a quarter inch one way or the other I would have either been paralyzed or dead." While police continue to search for the suspect, Carlton said he knows karma will catch up to them. (Cleveland 19 News)
