- Shots broke out on Tuesday after a car accident on Cleveland's east side. Police said the shooting occurred in the area of East 96th and Euclid Avenue, near the Cleveland Clinic's main campus. According to police, no one was struck by gunfire, and the shots were likely the result of road rage. Cleveland Clinic patient care was not impacted by the incident. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Cleveland and other parts of Northeast Ohio are expected to hit highs in the mid-60s today. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be near record highs but breezy, with winds over 25 miles per hour. Gusts will reach speeds over 40 miles per hour. - U.S. Marshals Services arrested 145 people as part of a nationwide operation. U.S. Marshals reported the arrests as part of Operation North Star, a 30-day initiative to find and arrest the nation's most violent offenders. The operation arrested 830 arrests nationwide across 10 locations in the country, including Cleveland. (WKYC.com)
- Nearly $46.5 million will be sent to Ohio as part of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) initiative to guard against "forever chemicals" in Ohio drinking water. The EPA's Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities Grant Program aims to remove forever chemicals, made primarily of carbon and fluorine, that can damage the environment and people's health. The distribution of funds is unrelated to the train derailment in East Palestine. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
