Robbery Attempt at Chase Bank in Willoughby Hills, Shot Fired

A robbery attempt at gunpoint occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. at the Chase Bank located at 27301 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills.

Two black male suspects entered the bank with a semi automatic and a revolver brandished. The two men are described as approximately 5'6"-5'7", around 150-160 pounds. One unknown suspect wore a blue bandana over his face, the other unknown suspect wore a red bandana over his face. Both males wore zipped grey colored hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

The two unknown suspects rapidly approached the victim teller and demanded money. The teller was able to press the bank's security alarm and then began to fidget with her keys attempting to access the teller money drawer. One unknown suspect indicated he knew what she was doing. Both suspects began to back away from the teller station. The suspect with the revolver discharged his weapon towards the teller station's bullet proof window, striking the bullet proof window. Both suspects fled the bank with no money.

No physical injuries were reported. No direction or mode of travel was observed.
