Shooting On Cleveland's East Side: 1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized
A 34-year-old man was found on Central Avenue with a gunshot wound to his chest.
CLEVELAND — One person was killed and another hospitalized after a shooting on Cleveland's east side on Monday night.
At approximately 10 p.m., police were flagged down near E. 31st and Central Avenue. Gunshots had been fired nearby, police were told.
A 34-year-old man was found near the street. He had been shot in his chest. Officers gave him first aid until EMS arrived and rushed him to MetroHealth, where he was later pronounced dead.

A second shooting victim — a woman whose identity has not yet been discovered — was found nearby. She had been shot multiple times, police said. She was also taken to MetroHealth, where she remains confined.

Investigators believe both people were shot outside of a single-family home on Central Avenue. No arrests have yet been made.
