Tom Hanks Doesn't Care Who Knows He Wants the Cleveland Indians to Win World Series
Tom Hanks has been one of the most vocal cheerleaders for the Cleveland Indians lately. Watch him show his love for the Tribe on Colbert.
CLEVELAND, OH — Tom Hanks has been making the rounds on various major television networks professing his love for the Cleveland Indians. Last night, Hanks went all in proclaiming that he doesn't care who knows that he wants to see the Tribe win the World Series.
Hanks also acknowledged that it seems like "the entire world and three-legged dogs" are all rooting for the Chicago Cubs. But Hanks was quick to point out to host Stephen Colbert that he's paid his dues and there's really no other team he could root for.
"You do not do three long, hot summers doing Shakespeare in Cleveland, blowing time watching the Cleveland Indians play at a park, that I swear was called at the time, 'Cleveland Municipal Lakefront Stadium.' It wasn't like PetCo Park or Dunkin Donuts Field, it was Cleveland Municipal Lakefront Stadium. It holds 90,000 people and I would be there on a given night with 4,800," Hanks said.

Hanks also makes a hilarious reference to former player (and later manager) Mike Hargrove, calling him Mike "The Human Rain Delay" Hargrove.
Later in the video Hanks suggests a possible fantasy game situation in Game 7, bottom of the ninth with the ghost of Rocky Colavito batting (Colbert's suggestion, Colavito is still alive) and the ghost of Larry Doby on deck.

Hanks was not the only celebrity to express frustration with the Chicago Cubs- biased media. Author Stephen King brought the subject up via Twitter on Monday:
Enough with the Cubs! How about some love for the Cleveland Indians? GO, TRIBE!
