  1. According to police data, violent crimes are on a downward trend in Cleveland. Cleveland Chief of Police Wayne Drummond said the department's strategic plan to lower violent crime appears to be getting results. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. Cleveland business owners, located on E. 105th Street in Glenville, plan to sue the city. The owners plan to sue for losses due to a construction project that stopped last year, but its orange construction barrels continue to block the road. "There's nowhere to park, one-way traffic," explained business owner Kimberly Carter. Cleveland Councilman Kevin Conwell said the contractors are demanding more money to get the job done, but the city's legal team is now involved. (Cleveland 19 News)
  3. Cleveland police arrested a 51-year-old Rocky River man who is accused of throwing a water bottle that hit Browns owner Jimmy Haslam on Sunday, Sep. 18. He has been accused of assault, disorderly conduct, and failure to comply with a direct order. The Browns plan to ban the suspect. (Cleveland.com)
  4. According to the new U.S. Census Bureau, the poverty rate in Cleveland has dropped from 32 percent the year before to 29.3 percent. However, the city remains among the highest poverty rates in the nation. (Cleveland.com)
