Wearing A Mask 'Not About Politics' DeWine Says
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is urging everyone to wear a mask while out in public, adding it's "not about politics," and more about helping others

CLEVELAND, OH — Republican Gov. Mike DeWine is urging Ohio residents to wear a mask when they go out in public, and that it's not about politics.
DeWine appeared on NBC's Meet The Press Sunday to talk about the state of the coronavirus in Ohio, where he shared his views. "Now we're in a different phase as we open up," he said when talking about how Ohio's timetable as summer approaches. "We're asking everyone who's out in public to wear a mask."
When questioned about mask wearing, DeWine said he's calling for people to look toward protecting others, as opposed to feeling like they're caught in a political debate.

“This is not about politics, this is not about whether you’re liberal or conservative, left or right, Republican, Democrat,” he said during the interview. “We wear the mask, and it’s been very clear what the studies have shown, you wear the mask, not to protect yourself so much as to protect others and this is one time when we are truly all in this together.”
