Winter Storm Expected: Snowfall Predictions For Mentor
The National Weather Service now believes up to 6 inches of snow could fall Friday.

MENTOR, OH — Up to 6 inches of snow could fall Friday in Mentor.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory on Thursday afternoon, upgrading the expected snowfall during the storm from 3 inches to 3 to 6 inches. Snow could start at 1 a.m. on Friday and continue until early Saturday.
"The heaviest snow is expected to arrive Friday morning which may have an enhanced impact on the Friday morning commute," the National Weather Service said.

The agency added that drivers should expect slippery roads on Friday morning and build extra time into their commutes, both morning and evening.

Current forecasts show snowfall should slow on Saturday. Less than 1 inch of snow should accumulate on Saturday, and there's less than a 50-percent chance of snow on Sunday.
