B Side "Barcade" Opens Friday
Revisioned liquor lounge and dance club to be a neighborhood beer and arcade spot on weeknights
Clevleand Heights' B Side Liquor Lounge will premiere as a "barcade" Friday.
The Coventry Road dance club, which has been open for nine years and is owned by the owners of the Grog Shop upstairs, has reinvented itself as a "quaint, neighborhood bar" with a nod to nostalgia, said owner Kathy Blackman.
Pinball machines, Ms. Pacman and shooter games line the walls that used to host modern couches and low tables, and tall brewery-style tables and a brand new bar β all designed by local artisans β complement the new craft beers on tap and jukebox.

Weekends will still feature the live DJ and dancing that B Side is known for.
The bar has expanded hours β 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 2 p.m. to s:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday β that owners hope will allow for private event and party use. The bar also has food for the first time β flavored popcorn, hot pretzels and Frito pies β and will host pinball tournaments and special events.
