• Teen girl is suspect in Cleveland Hts. stabbing of girl, 15; injuries not fatal (cleveland.com subscription) — A late-night stabbing at a Monticello Boulevard home left a 15-year-old girl seriously wounded but expected to survive, and Cleveland Heights police have arrested three people as they sort out what happened among several teens present. Officers also arrested the victim’s father after he allegedly attacked the handcuffed teen suspect, and later took the homeowner into custody on a weapons charge as the complex case remains under investigation.
   

• Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights agree to share cost of Horseshoe Lake Dam removal despite resident concerns (cleveland.com) — Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights have approved a cost-sharing deal for removing the failing Horseshoe Lake Dam and restoring Doan Brook, with Cleveland Heights covering 35% of up to $7.1 million in park amenities. The emergency vote, taken despite resident concerns about costs, historic preservation, and process, clears the way for bidding in January and construction through 2026–2027.
