CHUH Schools Receive Award for Accounting and Financial Reporting
Chief Financial Officer Scott Gainer, who was also named Outstanding Treasurer/CFO of the Year for 2010, has received this honor for the past 10 years

For the 10th year in a row, the chief financial officer for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools received an award for excellence in financial reporting.
Scott Gainer was given the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 2010 fiscal year from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The award recognizes school districts, municipalities and other government entities for their accounting and financial reporting.

“We are pleased to have earned this award again,” Gainer said in a press release. “It demonstrates our commitment to transparency and high-quality financial reporting. We take our fiduciary responsibility for taxpayer dollars very seriously and view this additional financial reporting as a way to keep our community informed.”
The GFOA is still reviewing cities and districts, so the other award winners for the 2010 fiscal year have not been made public yet. Last year, the CHUH School District was among 314 districts and cities in Ohio to receive the award. The City of Cleveland Heights also received the honor.
