Cleveland Heights Man Charged With Accepting Housing Inspection Bribe Sentenced to 2 Years

A jury found Frank Isaac guilty of accepting cash and gifts in exchange for passing a housing inspection

A Cleveland Heights man and building inspector supervisor with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority was sentenced today in exchange for passing a housing inspection.

A jury found Frank Isaac, 41, guilty on Sept. 16 on one count of bribery, and he was sentenced to two years. Isaac was accused of accepting $275 in cash and gifts to pass one inspection in Cleveland Heights, said Maria Russo, spokeswoman for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason's Office.

Isaac was indicted on the charges in August 2010, and the bribery exchange dates back to November 2005. He pleaded not guilty in September 2010.

Kevin Landrum, 32, of Bedford Heights, admitted to bribing Isaac to passΒ the inspection of a house heΒ owned in August 2006.

Isaac has been convicted on theft and weapons charges in the past. His last offense was in 2001, according to records from the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
