Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: Car Covered With Duct Tape and Flip-Flop Lit on Fire

Strange incidents from Cleveland Heights police call logs and other reports from last week

  • A man called to report June 14 that someone had duct-taped his 2009 Subaru, which was parked on the 2800 block of Mayfield Road.
  • Someone called to report that a group of kids had lit a flip-flop on fire near the 1000 block of Pembrook Road June 12. When police arrived, the kids were gone and they did not see signs of a fire.Β 
  • A white SUV was reportedly driving down the 3800 block of East Fairfax Road throwing eggs at houses June 14. Two others reported that their homes were egged on Blanche Avenue June 10 and Severn Road June 12.Β Β 
  • Seven people reported between June 7 and June 15 that groups of kids were throwing rocks at their cars and homes. The incidents occurred on Monticello, Goodnor, Yellowstone, Mayfield and South Taylor and Blanche. One reported that kids were throwing stones in her pool.Β
