Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: Man Scares Burglars Away
Reports on the call logs from July 4 to July 11

On July 9, a man walked into his home on the 3200 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard while two men were stealing his belongings. They got away with a 42" television. They packed a bunch of games in a bag, but fled without them when they heard the man walk in. The suspects are 18 to 23 years old, 5'9" to 5'11" and thin, he said.Β

- A man reported that someone robbed him of his leather wallet in front of Mike's Convenient Food Mart near the 1900 block of South Taylor Road. Police couldn't provide further information.
- Someone stole a generator from people who were having an alumni picnic at Forest Hills Park.
- Someone broke into a vacant home on the 2900 block of Yorkshire Road.
- A man called police and said he was following a male who is riding a bike that was stolen from him. Police couldn't provide further information.
- There was a theft on the 2100 block of Rexwood Road.
- A man reported that a group of kids were throwing rocks at him. Police took the youth, who all lived in the 900 and 1000 blocks of Caledonia Avenue, home and told their parents what they did.
- A lawnmower was stolen from the 3300 block of Kildare Road.Β
July 10
- A woman reported that someone stole two large flowers from her yard near the 2700 block of Mayfield Road.Β
- A caller reported that a man was possibly assaulting a woman with a stick at the Seafood Place near the 13400 block of Cedar Road.Β Police couldn't provide further information.
- Someone reported that four men broke out the bus shelter glass near the 12400 block of Cedar Road.
- A man said that he came home to find his window open and items missing from his home.Β
- A caller reported that boys were throwing rocks at cars on Mayfield Road.

- Someone egged a home on the 2500 block of Canterbury Road.
- There were bike thefts reported on Brinkmore Road, at Cumberland Pool, on Altamont Road, Mayfield Road and Sylvania Road.Β

- A burglary and a break-in were reported on the 1600 block of Eddington Road.Β
- Bike thefts were reported at Lee Road Library and on Caledonia Avenue.Β
- Someone reported that a man was walking with a large snake near South Taylor and Cedar roads, but he was gone when police arrived.
- Someone stole items from a car parked on the 3900 block of Mayfield Road.Β
- A vacant home was broken into on the 1600 block of Eddington Road.Β
July 7
- Callers reported that juveniles were throwing rocks into Cumberland Pool, at cars near Oak and Ivydale roads and one group was throwing bricks in the street near the 3800 block of Berkeley Road.Β
- Items were stolen from a car parked on the 1900 block of Coventry Road.
- A 53-year-old employee admitted to taking clothes and money from the Conway's store on the 3400 block of Mayfield Road.
July 5
- Someone reported a burglary on the 1700 block of Coventry Road.
- There was a theft at the 1500 block of Wood Road.
- Someone stole a car on the 800 block of Quarry Drive.
- Someone reported a theft on the 2400 block of Noble Road.
- A caller reported that two males were entering the windows of a home on the 3000 block of Yorkshire Road.Β
- Someone stole items from a car parked on the 14100 block of Superior Road.Β
July 4
- Someone reported a burglary on the 3300 block of Silsby Road.
- A caller reported that three men broke into a garage on the 3200 block of Desota Avenue. The suspects fled on foot.Β
- A woman reported a burglary at her home on the 900 block of Pembrook Road.
- A burglary was reported on the 1700 block of Compton Road. Β
