Cleveland Heights Police to Release Naked Donald Trump Under His Own Recognizance

Naked Donald Trump has been held in the Cleveland Hts. evidence room since he appeared on Coventry.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” Naked Donald Trump's nakedness wasn't on display for long when he was first spotted on Coventry near a Huntington Bank. Cleveland Heights police acted quickly and moved the naked Trump statue to the evidence room while they decided what to do with him.

Cleveland.com reports that the city was considering filing charges but ultimately decided to release Naked Donald Trump to his creator, a Cleveland artist known as "Ginger." Ginger β€” whose real name is Joshua Monroe will just need to pay an impound fee of around $110 to take Naked Trump home.

The Cleveland Heights Naked Trump installation was not the only one, a group called INDECLINE also placed the naked likeness of the Republican presidential candidate in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hollywood and Seattle. The project is called "The Emperor Has No Balls," a play off the short story "The Emperor Has No Clothes."

Some of the Naked Trumps weren't so lucky, the New York installation was destroyed by the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation after only a couple hours. While the statue was on display, New Yorkers took full advantage of taking selfies and posing with Naked Trump.

The Hollywood statue was the only Naked Trump that wasn’t dismantled or defaced, the statue will be auctioned off in October with a portion of the proceeds going to an immigrant rights advocacy group.

Monroes's lawyer Daniel Margolis, told cleveland.com that his client has no firm plans to claim his creation at this time and the statue's future is uncertain even after he is claimed. Hopefully, Trump will be brought home soon because it's cold in that evidence room β€” and well, he's naked.
