Dobama Fundraiser Honors Cleveland Heights Playwright Eric Coble
Excerpts from Coble's plays about Cleveland will be read during Dobamarama 2013

Dobama Theatre will celebrate its artists' influences around the country and around the globe with its annual fundraiser Dobamarama, featuring local playwright Eric Coble.
"Where in the World is Dobama Theatre?" will be June 14 atΒ 7 p.m. at the Ariel International Center, 1163 E.Β 40th Street, Cleveland.
The 2013 DobmaramaΒ will feature scenes from award-winning playwrightΒ Eric Coble's playsΒ Ten Minutes From ClevelandΒ andΒ Ten More Minutes From Cleveland.
Coble, also a Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education member, made his Broadway debut last year withΒ The Velocity of Autumn.
βMaybe they were just being polite,β Coble said in a statement from Dobama, βbut we've premiered six plays togetherΒ over the years. This was my first artistic home, and as I write scripts now for theatersΒ all over the country, I still write them to be performed in a cave-like basement [in Dobama'sΒ former location] on Coventry. Β It's a thrill to see what Dobama has become and to be a small part of thatΒ becoming.β
Tickets are $85 and can be purchased online at www.dobama.org.
