Forum for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Candidates Set for Thursday

The Cleveland Heights Democrats are hosting the event in the Cleveland Heights Community Center

Candidates running for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor will meet at a forum, hosted by the Cleveland Heights Democrats, in the at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Five challengers are competing to take over for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason, who is not running for re-election this year.

Former Cleveland Law Director Subodh Chandra, former Assistant County Prosecutor Stephanie Hall, former Assistant County Prosecutor and attorney James McDonnell, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Timothy McGinty and former Cleveland Law Director Robert Triozzi, all Democrats, are pursuing the job in the March 6 primary election. No Republicans are running for the position.

Cleveland City Councilman Kevin Kelley withdrew via a letter Jan. 3, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website.

All are welcome to attend the forum, which is co-sponsored by the Beachwood/Woodmere Democratic Ward Club, Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, Cuyahoga Democratic Women’s Caucus, Lyndhurst Democratic Club, Mayfield Democrats, Mayfield Hillcrest Club, Ohioans for Democratic Values, Shaker Heights Democratic Club and the South Euclid Ward Club.
