Heights Community Congress Will Hold Second Forum on Youth Issues

HCC will host a panel discussion Monday at the Community Center

Heights Community Congress is hosting to discuss youth issues in Cleveland Heights from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the . Β 

The , which Heights Libraries also sponsored,Β was scheduled a few weeks after the , when crowds of youth filled the streets, some refused to leave and 16 teens were arrested.Β 

HCC board member Rebecca Zirm said many people had questions at the last meeting that were not answered. They collected these and will try to address them at the next meeting.Β

β€œWe’re having a panel of folks who can give us their sense about ways to improve the situation in Cleveland Heights in terms of youth and the community,” Zirm said.

The community dialogue, titled "Community Solutions: Next Steps Toward Positive Change" will feature special guests Michael Walker, executive director for Partnership for a Safer Cleveland, James Box, project director for the Cleveland Community Relations Board, and Malik Bacchus, a student at , which July 14.Β
