Heights Libraries Need A New Board Member
This could be your chance to get involved in an important Cleveland Heights-University Heights institution.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β The Heights Libraries need a new board member.
Anyone interested in the position should attend an informational meeting on Nov. 16. RSVP to Nancy Levin at nlevin@heightslibrary.org. For additional information, contact the Library at 216-932-3600 ext. 1200.
Applications for the position are due by Nov. 19. Candidate interviews will then be held Dec. 7. Each interview will last 15 minutes.

According to the library system, here are some of the qualities they'll look for in board applicants:

- A commitment to "intellectual freedom."
- An interest in the work of a public library, including an ability to ask questions about day-to-day operations and criticize operations.
- Additional consideration will be given for people who are already active in community affairs.
- Additional consideration for people with professional experience with law, education, marketing, finance, accounting and personnel.
- Additional consideration for applicants from diverse backgrounds.
