Kevin Ziegler Announces He Will Run for Cleveland Heights City Council

Kevin Ziegler recently announced that he will run for a Cleveland Heights City Council seat this fall. 

Ziegler, 26, is a member of the Cleveland Heights Citizens Advisory Committee, which gives recommendations to council about how money from the should be distributed. 

Ziegler was who applied for former Councilman Mark Tumeo's seat. Council , who will serve until December, and must be re-elected in November to finish out the remainder of Tumeo's term.

Ziegler is a manager of communications and public affairs for the Cleveland Clinic, and graduated from Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with honors. 

“Cleveland Heights has desirable neighborhoods, nearby jobs and amenities that create strong opportunities to retain residents and attract newcomers. I will work tirelessly to sustain our city’s rich history and create momentum for growth,” said Ziegler in a press release.

“I am seeking election to Cleveland Heights City Council because our city is among those special places that have the ability to positively shape the character of its residents, as it has for me. I am eager to provide spirited leadership that is needed to address the changing circumstances presented to our local government.”
