5. ‘Redemption is mine;' Incarcerated women create ornaments for new Redemption Tree this holiday (whio.com) — Inside the Ohio Governor’s Residence in Columbus, a “Redemption Tree” decorated with handmade ornaments from incarcerated women honors America’s 250th birthday and the women’s desire to give back. For a decade, women at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville have crafted ornaments, scarves, and toys from donated materials that are shared with local families through nonprofits.
