5 Things: Buses Start Running at PARTA Deck Today

PARTA bus riders will see a few changes in routes Monday as the transit agency starts using the new Kent Central Gateway in downtown Kent as a hub.

Here’s a rundown on the changes:

1. Bus service at the transit center will be from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday service will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
2. Service to the Louis Stokes Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, will depart via the Cleveland Express route from the Kent Central Gateway.
3. The new Gateway route including service on the Kent State University campus will include the Stadium Loop and Loop Road routes, departing every 30 minutes, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.
4. The Kent circulator will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.
