Charges Dropped Against Mentor Mom Who Left Child Unattended At The Mall

A child endangerment charge has been dropped against Natalia Rosca -- a Mentor woman who left her child unattended in the play are at Great Lakes Mall for more than an hour.

Rosca, 37, had but that conviction was vacated Friday in by Acting Judge James Koerner.

Chief Probation Officer Sue Radovanic explained to Koerner that Rosca is from Romania and the incident seemed to stem from cultural differences.

"She is truly sorry," Radovanic said. "She now understands, yes, what she did was wrong and it will never happen again."

Growing up, Rosca would often play by herself, Radovanic said.

Rosca's child, who is four years old, was unharmed during the incident.

Rosca also completed an 8-week parenting class.

“I just want to say I’m sorry for what I did and this was a learning experience for me,” Rosca said in the court room, according to The News-Herald.
