Chocapalooza! Celebrating Milton Hershey's Birthday

Fri., Sept. 20—3:30 p.m.

Children, grades K-6, are invited to the Mentor Public Library to listen to stories about candy, play "Guess that candy!" and make a craft. Click here for more information.

James A. Garfield and the Civil War Tour—A Civil War 150th Anniversary Program

Sat., Sept. 21—11 a.m.

This program explores James A. Garfield’s Civil War service to the Union and his roles at the battles of Middle Creek and Chickamauga.  A 90-minute tour begins in the visitor center and then proceeds to the Garfield home and emphasizes Garfield’s time as a soldier.  The cost is $15.00 per person.  Reservations recommended. Call 440-255-8722 for more information.

Fall Harvest Festival & Antique Tractor Show

Sat. and Sun., September 21 & 22—9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 23rd annual show features antique tractors, a three-acre corn maze, pony rides and more. Admission starts at only $4 for ages 2 to 11. Strollers Babes—Fitness for Moms

Sat., Sept. 21—10 a.m.

Presented by the Mentor Parks and Recreation Department, Stroller Babes is a program on the Edward R. Walsh Park Walking Path in which mothers and their babies can both get a workout. "Strollers and resistance bands will enhance the workout, and your baby will have fun and be involved in the exercises too," according to the program description. Click here to register.
