Construction Continues On Route 2

The Ohio Department of Transportation will close lanes on a portion of Route 2 overnight Thursday and again during the weekend as construction continues on the interstate.

First, crews will close the left two eastbound lanes on Route 2 between Route 91 and Route 306 from 7 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday for pavement repairs.

Then, crews will close the same lanes from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday in order to finish those repairs.

This follows the state's Route 2 widening project.

The $181 million investment added lanes and improved noise and drainage issues along the route, according to ODOT.
