Route 2 Construction Cancelled Because Of Inclement Weather
Previously planned construction will be rescheduled because of weather

Update: The Ohio Department of Transportation has cancelled this weekend's construction because of anticipated inclement weather.
Construction will once again close lanes on Route 2 in Lake County this weekend, as well as an exit ramp.
But it's still better than snow, right? Right?

From 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation will close two eastbound lanes of Route 2 between Route 91 and Route 306.
During that time, construction crews will be performing pavement repairs.

Meanwhile, the Route 306 entrance ramp to the eastbound lanes of Route 2 will also be closed.
Motorists will be detoured via Mentor Avenue.
This follows the state's Route 2 widening project.
The $181 million investment added lanes and improved noise and drainage issues along the route, according to ODOT.
