Five Guys Restaurant Is Coming To Mentor

The restaurant offers more than a dozen different free toppings that people can mix and match on their burgers, hot dogs and grilled sandwiches.

But soon Five Guys enthusiasts will have one more option -- buying one in Mentor.

The city of Mentor announced via its Facebook page that Five Guys would be opening a location near the intersection of Route 306 and Tyler.

"Mentor, more and more, is becoming a destination location," City Manager Kenneth Filipiak said.

He noted that prestigious chains like , and have all opened or announced their intention to open a location in Mentor in the last year.

"The more diversity we have, the more people are going to come to the city," Filipiak said.

He added that, at the moment, the city did not have a firm timeline for when Five Guys will begin construction and then open.

However, he noted that Five Guys is "anxious to get started."

opened its first location in Arlington, AV. Since then, it has grown to more than 1,000 locations in 47 states and six Canadian provinces.
