Man Arrested For OVI, Crashing Into Library Sign Fails to Appear in Court

The man who who was arrested for OVI after crashing into the Mentor Public Library sign is wanted by Mentor Police.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, 30, of Cleveland, failed to appear for a recent court date, according to the police department's Facebook page.
Fitzpatrick is the registered owner of a white Buick Century that was spotted resting vacantly against the library sign around 3 a.m. on Sept. 8. Officers also saw a telephone pole snapped in half. Police later found him intoxicated, walking along the Center Street bridge.
Fitzpatrick first told police that he was robbed, but that excuse didn't fly. He was arrested for OVI, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to control his vehicle. This was his second OVI offense since 2009.
