Mentor Firefighters Douse Fire At Vector Screenprinting
The fire is thought to have started in the ducts of a dryer machine

Mentor Fire Department doused a fire Thursday morning at Vector Screen Printing & Embroidery on Tyler Boulevard.
Firefighters first received the call at about 8:15 a.m., Battalion Chief Joseph Busher said.
The flash fire is thought to have started in the ducts of one of Vector's dryer machines, Busher said.

A Vector employee used an extinguisher to knock the fire back until firefighters arrived. When firefighters got there, they quickly finished dousing the fire.
Nobody was seriously hurt by the fire but paramedics did provide some treatment as a safety precaution to the Vector employee who used the extinguisher, Busher said.

The firefighters took apart the ducts to make sure the fire had not spread elsewhere. Fortunately, it had not, Busher said.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the fire and do not know how much money it will cost to repair the damage done by the fire, Busher said.
