Mentor Man Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison For Kidnapping, Robbery & More
Clyde Scott was sentenced Friday morning in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas

Clyde Scott -- a Mentor man -- has been sentenced to 24 years in prison.
Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge David Matia handed down his decision Friday morning.
Scott, 33, and 31-year-old Richard Grant, of Cleveland, robbed two men during two separate incidents on Dec. 27 in Cleveland, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

According to prosecutors:
- Scott and Grant approached the first victim and Scott pointed a gun at the man and demanded money.
- Then, Grant took the gun from Scott, pointed it at the victim's head and took his wallet.
- Next, Grant and Scott found a second man to rob. They took his wallet and his keys.
- Scott fired his gun toward both victims when they ran away but he did not hit either.
- When police arrested Scott and Grant, they found some of the stolen possessions in Grant's sock.
Grant's case is still pending.

According to the Cuyahoga County court docket, Scott has been convicted previously of felony weapons and drugs charges.
He was convicted in 2006 of having a weapon under a disability and sentenced to one year in prison.
In 2004, he was convicted of drug possession and sentenced to six months in prison.
