Mentor Public Library Patrons Have A Cool 'Knight'
Visitors learn about and (even get to try on) armor from the Cleveland Museum of Art
Library patrons will have an opportunity to see and touch armor worn by knights from the European Middle Ages and the High Renaissance during the βs Art-to-Go: Cool Knights program.
The armor was from the Cleveland Museum of Art's collection and docents from the museum talked about the armor's history, as well as how it grew from its functional roots into works of art.
"It started out as something utilitarian but, over time, armor became really very fashionable," Docent Erv Edelman said.
