Mentor Woman Accused of Taking & Selling Stolen Jewelry

Linda Bohar is accused of selling more than $6,000 worth of stolen jewelry to pawn shops for $190

A Mentor woman is accused of taking more than $6,000 worth of jewelry that was stolen from Kohl's and selling it to local pawn shops.

The jewelry was stolen from the department store on July 14, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page.

Mentor police officers checked with pawn shops in the area and learned that Linda Bohar, 51, had been selling lots of silver jewelry.

Bohar used her driver's license at the pawn shops and her picture matched that of the woman on the security video at Kohl's.

Bohar was arrested and charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property. She was arraigned Monday morning in .

Bohar's next court hearing is scheduled for July 31.

The detective investigating the theft recovered 112 of the 116 pieces of stolen jewelry. Bohar allegedly received $190 for all the silver sold to the pawn shops.
