One Man Hospitalized After Early Morning Crash On I-90
A Mentor man crashed into a car that another driver had left on the road

A Mentor man was taken to the hospital after he crashed into a car that was left on Interstate 90 between the 306 and 615 exits Saturday morning, Mentor Police Sgt. Michael Kloski said.
It began about 5 a.m. when a 39-year-old man from Lorain was driving west on the interstate. He drove off the side of the road and crashed his Geo Prism into guard rail.
The man got out of his car but left it in the left lane.

Police are investigating to see if alcohol was involved in this initial crash, Kloski said.
Then, a 52-year-old man from Mentor did not see the Prism left in the road in enough time to swerve around it, so he crashed into it, Kloski said.

The Mentor man had nonincapacitating injuries so Mentor firefighters took him to Lake West Medical Center.
The Lorain man was sitting on the guard rail and not in his car, so he wasn't hurt.
No one has been charged with a crime because of this crash yet but it is still under investigation, Kloski said.
