The convention featured artists and writers who have worked on the Avengers, Power Pack, Archie, Bart Simpson, American Splendor and more

The Lake Effect Comic Book Convention returned to Mentor this Sunday for its third year.

It was hosted by the at Great Lakes Mall for the first time.

The featured guest was Avengers artist and the creator of Liberty Meadows Frank Cho.

  • Gary Dumm, one of the artists who worked on the American Splendor series with Harvey Pekar
  • Chris Yambar, writer for the Bart Simpson comic series
  • Mark Sumerak, writer for Marvel's Power Pack and Moon Knight series
  • Bob Ingersoll, writer for Star Trek comics, Donald Duck and others
  • Joe Corroney, an artist for Star Trek
  • Chris Lambert and David Russell, the creators of Vampire Gazette
  • Aubrey Fisher and Craig Tucker of rabzilla.com
  • Craig Boldman, a writer and artist for Archie comics

The convention is the brainchild of ο»ΏComics and Friendsο»Ώ, the comics shop at the Great Lakes Mall.
