• David Montecalvo, Cortland, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Niles residents are remembering longtime mail carrier “Mailman Dave” Montecalvo, who spent years serving local routes before retiring to Cortland. The 72-year-old veteran and avid gardener passed away November 30, and calling hours and funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, at Lane Family Funeral Homes’ Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland. His family highlights his love of the outdoors and time with his grandsons.
   

• Liberty Twp. woman sentenced for reported stabbing (wkbn.com) — A woman has been sentenced to probation after an argument in Niles led to a reported stabbing and her arrest near Lafayette Avenue and Harris Street.
