Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- A crew made up entirely of women ran all operations at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Rossford Wednesday. The event was put on by the Women at Amazon affinity group and showcased how operations could continue because women work in all positions at the site. (WNWO NBC 24)
- The life of legendary Toledo boxing coach William Griffin was celebrated Wednesday at Savage Park. Coach Griffin died March 14 after suffering a heart attack at Central City Boxing, the gym where he spent every day "for the past 21 to 22 years" according to professional boxer Albert Prince Bell. - Karl Willis and Wayne Braddy will be freed from prison after they were incarcerated in 1998 for the murder of 13-year-old Maurice Purifie. The men were featured in WTOL 11's "Guilty without Proof" in 2019 and are due in court before Judge Gary Cook on March 28 to reportedly take an Alford plea to lesser charges involving the murder. (WTOL)
- City of Waterville Assistant Law Director Kati Tharp stated the petition to recall council members Anthony Bruno and John Rozic failed due to several deficiencies in the document. The attempt to unseat the council members comes from a group of "Not in My Backyard" residents frustrated with the council's vote to approve a controversial amphitheater. (WTVG)
- Toledo-area veterans such as Steven Elsworth, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, were able to get screened for toxic chemicals through a PACT Act open house. U.S. Senator for Ohio Sherrod Brown sat in on the screening of a veteran exposed to burn pits and encouraged veterans to get screened even if they don't exhibit symptoms. (WNWO)

From my notebook:
- The Defiance College wrestling team head coach Steve Swinson has been accused of racism, with several athletes and an assistant coach calling for his termination. Though assistant coach Rudy Corpus reported the incident per Defiance College's non-discrimination policy, he says he was told nothing could be done since it was not a pattern of behavior. (WTOL)
- Local artist David Wisniewski is legally blind after suffering diabetic retinopathy, though the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired helped him get in to the University of Toledo art program and he has since "won awards locally and at New York's Chelsea International Fine Art Competition."
