'We are ignored': North Toledo Coalition troubleshoots with community on issues (toledoblade.com subscription) — North Toledo residents are sharing concerns directly with the North Toledo Coalition through new one-on-one “community conversations” instead of traditional meetings. Neighbors at Jamie Farr Park talked about feeling ignored, housing challenges for homeless Toledoans and veterans, transportation access, and hopes for renewed pride and revitalization in their long-disinvested North End community.
   

2. On The Radar December 2025 (toledocitypaper.com) — Northwest Ohio readers can look ahead to the Crosby Festival of the Arts moving to Schedel Arboretum in Elmore starting October 2026 and Sylvania’s Holiday Shopping Passport running through January 2. The University of Toledo College of Law also earned second place in Ohio for July bar exam passage, while BGSU was again honored for strong support of military-affiliated students.
   

3. Ohio woman sentenced to probation in missing child case (post-journal.com) — A Toledo woman has been sentenced to up to five years of probation and a fine in connection with a multistate custody and missing-child case involving a 14-year-old girl. Authorities describe how license plate readers, phone data, and interviews helped trace the teen from Pennsylvania and New York to Ohio before the girl was located.
   

4. Man killed in Friday evening shooting at Toledo home, police say (13abc.com) — A 70-year-old man was fatally shot Friday evening inside a home on North Ontario Street in Toledo, and police are investigating the case as a homicide with no suspect information released yet. The killing marks Toledo’s 36th homicide of 2025, matching last year’s pace, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
