- Washington Local Schools bus driver Bonnie Varnes died Monday after being attacked by her own dog outside a home in the 800 block of Wright Avenue.
- The Toledo City Council voted to approve the roughly $300,000 settlement with Block Communications over the 2021 Solheim Cup Summit Street construction.

- Washington Local Schools bus driver Bonnie Varnes died Monday after being attacked by her own dog outside a home in the 800 block of Wright Avenue. Toledo Fire & Rescue transported the 57-year-old victim to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. (WTOL)
- The Toledo City Council voted to approve the roughly $300,000 settlement with Block Communications over the 2021 Solheim Cup Summit Street construction. Toledo paid $973,000 to Block Communications, owners of Buckeye Broadband and the Toledo Blade, prompting council members Katie Moline and Nick Komives to vote against the settlement for being insufficient. - A public visitation will be held for "Toledo Radio Legend" Gary Shores of WKKO-FM 99.9 (K-100) at Walker Funeral Home on Sylvania Avenue Sunday from 11-7. Shores spent over 40 years as a radio personality and donations can be made to Life Connection, Make-a-Wish and Are You Dense? (WTVG)
- Waterville Tonwship Trustee Julie Theroux pleaded no contest to drunk driving charges and was found guilty Tuesday. Theroux was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 suspended after she completes the driver intervention program within six weeks. (WTVG)
- Whitmer High School senior Brady Hall is running for the Washington Local School Board upon turning 18 in May. Hall credits the drive-by shooting at a Whitmer football game last season that injured three as solidifying his desire to run. (WNWO)

- "Sierah's Birthday Soiree" will be held February 26 at 6 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg. The event commemorates the life of Sierah Joughin, who was murdered seven years ago when she was just 20 years old "by a convicted violent offender" while she was riding her bike in Fulton County. (WTOL)
- Local LGBTQ+ leaders are urging for peace and understanding as "at least 304 deaths involving those who are transgender and gender non-conforming" have occurred in the last 10 years. (WTOL)
