Family demands justice following death of man shot outside of St. Paul's Community Center Friday (wtol.com) — A Toledo family is demanding justice after Andrew Shively was fatally shot outside St. Paul’s Community Center on 13th Street near Madison Avenue in downtown Toledo. Police say surveillance video captured an argument before the shooting, and the investigation continues while relatives plan his funeral and remember his musical talents and recent progress toward stability.
   

2. ECHL and Toledo Walleye players' union reach tentative deal to end short-lived strike (wkyc.com) — Toledo Walleye players are expected back on the ice soon after their union and the ECHL reached a tentative labor deal that pauses a brief strike. The agreement still needs player ratification and league approval, but it should clear the way to reschedule postponed home and road games and stabilize the rest of the season for local fans.
   

3. Four men indicted for illegal reentry after arrests across northwestern Ohio (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Federal prosecutors in Toledo have announced indictments against four men accused of illegally reentering the United States after prior deportations, including one arrested in Toledo, Lucas County. The separate cases, investigated by U.S. Border Patrol’s Sandusky Bay Station, involve arrests in Toledo, Huron, and Upper Sandusky earlier this month.
   

4. Industry icon: Surface still hot after 110 years (toledoblade.com subscription) — A century-old industrial furnace maker that started in Toledo and now operates in Maumee and Waterville continues to anchor a broad northwest Ohio supply chain. The company, heavily staffed by University of Toledo graduates, builds customized heat-treating systems used worldwide, from aircraft fuselages to chemical weapons destruction, and says its roots in this region are strong with no plans to move.
