🌱 ProMedica Concert Series Lineup Cut + Threat At Central Catholic HS

  • Lucas County Judge Eric Allen Marks sentenced Kevin Moore to life without parole for the murders of brothers Ahmir Phillips, 5, and Gabriel Phillips, 1, and the felonious assault of third brother Asthan - who was shot in the head but survived.
  • Two Lucas County teenagers will be tried as adults on aggravated murder charges for the June 2022 shooting death of 17-year-old Antwan Walker near Burnham and Vermaas in West Toledo.
  • Toledo City Council will vote whether to donate $100,000 for the ProMedica Concert Series after the health care company already slashed the lineup in half for the 2023 season.

  1. Lucas County Judge Eric Allen Marks sentenced Kevin Moore to life without parole for the murders of brothers Ahmir Phillips, 5, and Gabriel Phillips, 1, and the felonious assault of third brother Asthan - who was shot in the head but survived. Moore was arrested by Toledo Police at the Byrneport Apartments in February 2021 and argued not guilty by reason of insanity in court. (WTVG)
  2. Two Lucas County teenagers will be tried as adults on aggravated murder charges for the June 2022 shooting death of 17-year-old Antwan Walker near Burnham and Vermaas in West Toledo. Tayvion Price and Jashawn Allen were 15 and 16 at the time of the murder and are also facing felonious assault and aggravated robbery charges. (WTOL)
  3. A threat of violence written in a Central Catholic High School bathroom stall has led to an increased security presence at the school. The message warned about an event on Friday, March 17 and law enforcement has been notified. (WTVG)
  4. Toledo City Council will vote whether to donate $100,000 for the ProMedica Concert Series after the health care company already slashed the lineup in half for the 2023 season. ProMedica is still pledging $150,000 and estimates a $5 million economic impact. (WTOL)
  5. Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity are hosting a recycling drive at ReStore in Maumee for Earth Day. Citizens can drop off items not ordinarily accepted for recycling such as latex paint, electronics, Styrofoam, and more on April 15. (WNWO NBC 24)

  • A blood drive honoring 22-year-old Keris Riebel will be held at her alma mater Wynford High School in Bucyrus on Friday, March 17 from 7:15 AM to 1:15 PM. Keris was murdered by a man wielding a machete during her shift at the Dollar Tree in Upper Sandusky on January 1. (WTOL)
