- A long-term Scott High School substitute teacher is under investigation after a student made an allegation of "inappropriate conduct" that was also reported to Toledo Police and Lucas County Children Services. The employee has been placed on paid administrative and TPS Superintendent James Grant issued a written response. (WTVG)
- Several students and parents were arrested after a fight broke out at Byrnedale Elementary School on Glendale. Charges issued include Assault on Teachers/Others or Disrupting School Activity and Contributing to the Unruliness/Delinquency of a Child. (WTVG)
- McLaren Health Care announced the closure of St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee by mid-May. All outpatient facilities will be closed, and McLaren "cited years of declining utilization and revenues, and the lingering impact of COVID-19 being the cause." (WNWO)
- Several Toledo officials including Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye director of merchandise and licensing Craig Katz, Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, and part-owner of the Beirut Labib Hajjar weighed in on the impact actor Jamie Farr has had on the city. Farr starred on M*A*S*H and gave worldwide recognition to Toledo staples such as Tony Packos and the Mud Hens. (WTOL)
- Mercy Health chief of cardiology Dr. Ameer Kabour warns that heart attacks are becoming more common in young people after a study published by the Ohio State University. A major culprit is high blood pressure and risk factors like obesity and high cholesterol. (WNWO)
