Stargazing Event To Be Held At Crocker Park

WESTLAKE, OH — Crocker Park is celebrating "Sleep Under the Stars" weekend with a stargazing event for the family.

“We are all about experiences, and when we heard about this fun and interactive event from Eddie Bauer, we knew we wanted to help the store make it happen,” said Stacie Schmidt, vice president of marketing and communications for Stark Enterprises. “This event is the perfect way to take a break from our busy lives and immerse with nature and learn about the incredible world around us.”

On Aug. 7, Eddie Bauer stores across the nation, including the one in Westlake, will host their own stargazing events. The Crocker Park event begins at 8 p.m. with a kick-off presentation by Jeff Kilmer, who will talk about the stars and hiking in the Adirondacks.

After the presentation, an evening of crafts, games, activities and Splash Pad light shows await guests. There will also be a special appearance from Orvis and treats from Crepes in the City and Barocco.

The evening will conclude with attendees gazing at the night sky through telescopes.
