- An 11-year-old boy was stabbed to death in southeast Oklahoma City on Sunday. Officers first responded to the scene around 4:45 p.m., where they were required to break down the door to the home where the incident occurred. Carina Romero, the only adult suspect found in the home where the boy was stabbed, is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree murder complaint. (news9.com KWTV)
- Oklahoma City Community College has appointed its first Black woman as campus president. The school's Board of Regents named Dr. Mautra Jones as the institution's 11th president in a unanimous vote earlier this week. Jones will begin her tenure on March 1. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
- An Oklahoma City toddler has been released from the ICU after a nearly month-long battle with COVID-19. One-year-old Ira Jackson suffered multiple strokes after contracting the virus from his sister earlier this year. Jackson, who struggled with most basic functions following the series of strokes, is now able to move his arms, legs, and feet. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
