Here are the top three stories today in Oklahoma City:

  1. On Sunday afternoon, officials responded to a grass fire in Oklahoma City near Interstate 240 and traveled north between Douglas Avenue and Post Road. It took longer to extinguish because of the wooded area, making it harder for fighters to access. Choctaw, Midwest City, and Del City assisted. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  2. The public is invited to attend the reopening of the newly renovated Belle Isle Library. The inaugural weekend will take place from Apr. 8 to 11. The celebration begins at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, Apr. 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The three-day event continues through the weekend with concerts, programs, and tours of the library’s new Maker Space, where people of all ages can experience new technologies. (City-sentinel)
  3. The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is seeking applicants from schools and community organizations for 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grants for the 2022-23 school year. A letter of intent to apply is required by 3:00 p.m. on Apr. 14. The application submission deadline is 3 p.m. on May 10. (Duncan Banner)
