Registration is now open for the first or second session of the MetroFIT Family Fitness Program where participating families will be able to participate in Zumba, Hip-Hop Fitness, group walks, jump rope, dodgeball, and more for a quick workout. The first session of classes will take place every Saturday starting this week on Jun. 3 until Jun. 24, and the second session will also be on Saturdays from Jul. 8 to Jul. 22. 2. This weekend, the 2023 Men's Health Summit is making its way to Oklahoma City, and health leaders are teaming up for the event. This is the third year of the event and co-creators Marvin Mack and Dr. Adam Alexander took some time to talk with the News 9 team about the importance of men maintaining their health and breaking the stigma of not going to the doctor. The event is set to happen on Jun. 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Along with all the information being distributed through the event, there will also be pizza, father/son haircuts, free physicals, and more. The event is free but attendees are asked to register by calling 405-271-8001. (News On 6)
  3. Some residents in Oklahoma City may be eligible for FEMA Child Care Assistance due to the tornadoes that the state suffered in April. Whether your home was damaged from the storms or not, if you meet the qualifications provided in the article you may receive assistance for your children 13 and younger, or up to 21 if a child has a disability. In addition to qualifying, applicants must have the necessary documentation when applying for assistance. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
