- The Oklahoma City Fire Department is offering to install free smoke detectors for city residents in order to promote fire safety. If you are a resident of OKC, you can schedule an appointment to get your free smoke detector by calling 405-316-BEEP (2337). The Oklahoma City Police Department is currently investigating, and the child's mother, Kieara Lopez, is facing multiple charges. - A water main leak occurred near Northwest 63rd Street and North Meridian Avenue on Tuesday that created a sinkhole in Oklahoma City. Crews responded to the incident around 11:00 p.m. and were able to successfully turn off the water in the area. Northwest 63rd Street near North Meridian is still currently closed and there is no known timetable of when the hole will be repaired and traffic may continue on the road, it is believed that this may be a multi-day fix.
