  1. A suspect is in custody after a nine-hour standoff with police at an M-Mart convenience store this weekend. Police responded to the scene at 23rd Street around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday after the store's owner saw the suspect ransacking the building on a security camera before attempting to escape through the ceiling. Officers say the suspect gave himself up around noon, soon after a tactical team threw tear gas into the store. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
  2. Today is the last day to nominate someone for the 2022 Excellence Award from the Oklahoma Pork Council. The award recognizes individuals in all areas of pork production who have demonstrated exceptional commitment or innovation to the field. Award winners will be recognized at the Oklahoma Pork Congress on Aug. 5. (Oklahoma Farm Report)
