1. A man has been arrested for attempting to bulldoze a home in north Bethany. Witness Terry Pinion says she called the police after she saw her neighbor demolishing his own house with a skid-steer near 50th Street and Rockwell Avenue. Officers were able to apprehend and arrest the suspect, who was armed, after he fled in a vehicle. It is unclear whether the man will face charges at this time. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
2. An Oklahoma State University professor has been awarded a $2.2 million grant to conduct COVID-19 research. Dr. Martin McCullagh will partner with two researchers from Colorado State University to study a protein in the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. McCullagh hopes the research will end the current pandemic and help prevent future pandemics from occurring. (Press Release Desk)
3. Oklahoma City's first dual-language school is preparing to expand enrollment for new students. Western Gateway Elementary, which teaches both Spanish and English in the same classroom setting, hopes to enroll new second-grade students later this year.
